“The best season of your life”

In celebration of National Poetry Day 2016, here is a wonderful short poem which captures beautifully the joy of living in the present and noticing all that is around us.

Ten thousand flowers in spring,

the moon in autumn,

a cool breeze in summer,

snow in winter.

If your mind isn’t clouded

by unnecessary things,

this is the best season of your life.

  6. What a charming poem! I so do love the change in seasons. Today is the first truly chilly autumn morning, and it is delightful. Hope you have a good week!

    1. So glad you liked the poem – I always think of you when I put my poetry hat on! And yes, it has turned very chilly here too – I rather like it when seasons behave as they are supposed to! πŸ™‚
